Abstract

This study is a bibliographical research of the Mais Médicos Program, specifically, on the scientific production referring to the Project More Doctors for Brazil, the axis of emergency provision of professionals. To that end, a search was made for the Virtual Health Library, the Medline, Lilacs and Scielo databases, the Capes Thesis and Dissertations Bank and the Doctors' Knowledge Platform, organized by the Primary Health Care Network of the Brazilian Association of Public Health (Abrasco). The descriptor used was 'Program More Doctors in Health' The data demonstrate an effort in analyzes of the Program from the local spaces where the policy was developed, which allows the understanding of the implementation of the Program in the different regions of the country. However, there was little production of knowledge and research resulting from the services, and was largely carried out by Higher Education Institutions. In this study, the interest of different areas of knowledge was verified, which allows the construction of ways for a critical analysis of the current Policy, breaking with the idea that only a specific field has the capacity to build knowledge about Politics.
