The complaint rate increased 3 times and the notification rate increased 2 times in a year. It was verified that the majority of the victims were women, beaten at home (90%) by known people (90%), with predominance (80%) of typology by neglect/abandonment in both sources. The improvement of surveillance contributes to reveal the violence in all its guises, to effect public policy, and stimulate the reflection/action of society.
