Abstract

Social network is a polysemic concept used to study the social relations established by the subject with individuals and/or organizations making possible the construction of a network of relationships through links and connections. This study aims at the social networks of people with tuberculosis attended in a Primary Care unit in Program Area 3.1 of the city of Rio de Janeiro. The study of the users’ social networks made it possible to understand health care as a process that involves several aspects that act in different ways on the users, as well as to glimpse at the potential of the structure of networks for health care.
